I am a tenant organizer, researcher, and writer from Los Angeles. I advocate for social housing, tenant protections, and tenant-centered solutions to the climate crisis. I also write about housing, climate, land use, and other urban issues. My writing has appeared in n+1, The Baffler, Dissent, the Los Angeles Times, The Avery Review, and other publications. I am a current Activist-in-Residence at UCLA.
I am Director of Policy & Advocacy at Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, where I have built and led the organization’s climate justice work and oversee research, organizing, and advocacy focused on climate solutions that benefit tenants. I am also a founding member of The Rent Brigade, an organization that emerged in aftermath of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires to combat and document illegal rent gouging. Today, we advocate for municipal social housing in Los Angeles.
